Robot 2017

Новая версия Robot уже доступна! Нам всем очень интересно, что нового появилось в этой версии. Так как для этой версии бета тестирования не было, есть шанс что изменились только цифры с 2016 на 2017.
Как ожидалось, видимых изменений, кроме светлой темы, буквы R, возможности входа под своим аккаунтом, нет.

Несколько нововведений все же есть:

Improvement in Section Definition
Now you can accept or prevent rotation of the coordinate system by 90 degrees (to have Iy > Iz). As a result, you can save sections in one not rotated coordinate system.
The local coordinate system of a cross section is specified as follows: the origin coincides with the center of gravity, while axes are rotated so that the moments of inertia with respect to these axes assume extreme values. Iy is usually considered maximal and Iz minimal. Sometimes, for example for symmetric sections, it may cause rotation of the local coordinate systems by 90 degrees. Such rotation of axes, where the Y axis is vertical and the Z axis is horizontal, is not always helpful. This improvement lets you keep the same position of the local axes, disregarding the relation between Iy and Iz. This way, you can keep the constant orientation of the local axes for the whole family of sections of different proportions.

Density of Transversal Bar Reinforcement
This new feature allows you to display diagrams of density of required transversal reinforcement of bars and export it to Revit.
Access the transverse density feature from the RC Members - required reinf. layout by selecting Results  Diagrams for Bars. See Reinforcement Diagrams.

Reinforcement Zones and Slab Contours Saved as DWG and DXF Files
This new feature allows you to save reinforcement zones, directions, descriptions, and other data displayed on the maps of provided reinforcement as DWG and DXF files. You can save all data currently displayed from all views (X-/Y-/X+/Y+) on separate layouts of an external file and use it in other Autodesk product.
Access this feature by selecting File  Save As.

Robot-AdvanceSteel Link
Robot-AdvanceSteel Link enables data exchange between Autodesk® Advance Steel® and Robot, through a complete set of functionalities like import, export, or synchronize.
After installing Robot, you can download and install the application from the Autodesk App Store website.
With Robot-AdvanceSteel Link, you can export a Robot structural model using the smlx format. You can then import the smlx file in Advance Steel in order to detail steel connections and automatically generate fabrication documents. From Robot, you can also export values of internal forces with the model to the smlx file. After importing the file to Advance Steel, you can use these values to perform code checking of connections.
Conversely, you can export a model from Advance Steel in order to perform structural analysis and code checking in Robot.
You can also track changes in the same model in both applications using the synchronization feature. Additionally, in Robot, you can track differences using a background that displays geometry of the Advance Steel model.
